Hey,
Let's find the y intercept of the line: -4x + 6y = -12?

In the equation ax + by = c, the y-intercept is the point where the line crosses the y-axis. To find the y-intercept, we can set x = 0 and solve for y.

Let’s solve the equation for y:

Given that: ax + by =c

Deviding both the sides by constant 'b', we get: y = (c/b) - (a/b)x,

To find y intercept put x = 0, we get: y = (c/b) - (a/b)*0 = c/b

Now, comparing -4x + 6y = 12 with general equation ax + by = c, we get: a = -4, b = 6 & c = -12

Therefore: y = -12/6 = -2

Plot is attached.

Equation of line in intercept form is (x/a)+(y/b)=1; Where, a is x intercept and b is y intercept. Divide equation by ( -12) so that RHS =1. (X/3)+(Y/-2)=1. Y intercept is -2

Y intercept would be obtained by putting x=0, -4(0)+6 y =-12. i.e., y = -12/6 = -2.

y = mx + c where, c is the y intercept. we have -4x +6y = -12 6y = 4x - 12 y = (4x/6) - 12/6 y = (4x/6) - 2. Therefore y intercept = -2.
