Teaching Experience in detail in Advanced Placement Tests Coaching classes

I have been training students for AP Computer Science A for the last 10 years .In these many years I have trained students with no programming background to students already having good level of programming skills. Most of my Students have been able to score 5/5 in this exam. I prepare my students for the exam in such a manner that not only they are able to score well in this exam but they learn and enjoy Java programming language very efficiently which really helps them in their future also after they take admissions in the Universities. I focus equally on the theoretical and practical aspects of the Java language which really creates the interest of the students in the computer programming.

As you would be knowing , every variable you create or declare has got some address in RAM. so if you declared a variable X like int X; //this will allocate 2 bytes of memory in RAM and an address of that allocated memory area would be there.also a name X has been associated with that memory area Now you have 2 options to access that memory area: a) we can access that memory area using the name X associates with that memory area b) we can access that memory area using the memory address associated with that memory area. For the second approach , (b) we need to first store the memory address of X in some variable. Now comes the requirement of a POINTER.(As a pointer variable can store the memory address) int * ptr; //declaration of a pointer variable ptr=&X;//assigning the memory address of variable X to pointer variable ptr. Hope this helps.

Well, Java is a high level programming language. And when it comes to a certain high level programming language, we need a language processor in order to convert or translate the program or code written in that language to a form which could be understood by the computer. Now here we require some language processor. Java( language) uses a java compiler for the conversion of a high level language java code to an intermediate code known as BYTECODE. ( this byte code is the key feature through which java claims PLATFORM INDEPENDENCE). In order to execute this byte code , again a translator is required known as java interpreter. Thus, we can say that java language uses both a compiler and an interpreter for a basic program to run.

Thus there is no point to inherit the whole bulky Thread class in order to get just run () method when we can go for a lighter approach by implementing a Runnable interface and at the same time are free to extend any other class.
