BASK IN SUNSHINE OF INTELLECT

Let the two numbers be "x" and "y" such that x>y Hence original digit is 10x+y, & reversed digit is 10y+x By the condition of the problem (10x+y)+ (10y+x)= 165 11x+11y=165............(1) x-y =3............(2) x+y=15............(1) divided by 11 on both sides.......(3) Adding equation (2) and (3) 2x...

Let the two numbers be "x" and "y" such that x>y

Hence original digit is 10x+y, & reversed digit is 10y+x

By the condition of the problem

(10x+y)+ (10y+x)= 165

11x+11y=165............(1)

x-y =3............(2)

x+y=15............(1) divided by 11 on both sides.......(3)

Adding equation (2) and (3)

2x =18

x=9

y=6

therefore the two digit number is 96 and  the reverse order number is 69

so you can see that 96+69=165 and 9-6=3.......satisfies the condition of the question.

......... All the best.................

The two numbers can be any unknown variables. We will take x and y. Reversing 165, we get 561 which means that adding them will give me 561. Subtracting the two I will get 3. Conveting them to equations we get x+y =561 x-y = 3 Adding the two equations we get 2x=564 x=282 Substituting the value of...

 The two numbers can be any unknown variables. We will take x and y.

Reversing 165, we get 561 which means that adding them will give me 561.

Subtracting the two I will get 3. Conveting them to equations we get

x+y =561

x-y  = 3

Adding the two equations we get

2x=564

x=282

Substituting the value of x in (x-y=3)

282-y=3

Therefoe, y=279

Let x be the number and y be the another number Number obtained by reversing the order of it's digits is 651 From given data, x-y=3, x+y=561 2x=564 x=282, y=279

one number is X ,other X +3 , so X +(x +3) = 561 or 2X = 561-3 =558 . now X =558/2 =279 ,one is 279 , other is 279 +3 =282 , answer.
