The mathematical formula to calculate Equivalent Weight

Equivalent Weight = (Molecular Wt / n-factor)

n-factor for acid is defined as number replaceable acidic hydrogen present in the acid.

n-factor for the base is defined as number replaceable hydroxyl ion furnished by the base.

n-factor for a redox agent is defined as the number of net electron transfer during the redox process

n-factor for salt is defined as the sum of total positive or negative charge present on the constituent ion in the salt.
