Know Vocabulary Well
There is no way out to score high in the Verbal Reasoning section than knowing vocabulary well. However, improving your vocabulary doesn’t mean just knowing the meaning of words. Rather you should understand the usage of a word in a sentence and context appropriately. Reading a lot in general can help you build your vocabulary and even better if you could build strategies (e.g. vocabulary series with sample sentences etc.) to enhance your vocabulary.
Read Voraciously
There can be possibly no other substitute than reading voraciously different topics (newspapers, academic journals, magazines and reference books) regularly to give your brain the much needed exercise. Reading a lot on various topics helps you build word power and understand the usage of a word in a sentence. Also make a point to keep a note of new words you come across while reading and its correct usage in a given context.
